--skyguy98 - Huzana Band Continue north: 3 (limited success) The Huzana band, unsatisfied with the hills they inhabit, continue north towards the mountains. Although the Huzana have gotten to the mountains, their numbers have deminished from a few ambushes by packs of Grujan who followed them north. They are now inhabiting a few mountain ledges and are cold. The winter has not produced to much cold but their is no guarantee for the next few. someguywhoisamember - Haven Band Explore enviroment for resources: 3 (limited success) Similar to the Huzana band years ago, The Haven band explored their enviroment for food. Being the enviroment was fairly flat, they did not have much trouble in traversing it. They have found very little in their travel but a sparse few berry-like bush scattered around. They are black on the outside but when opened an orange sweet smelling fruit is exposed. Although some enjoyed the sweet taste many of the group experienced a burning sensation in their nose and wateriness of the eyes after eat them. The berries contained a substance identical to the Limonene found in citrus fruits although in a small dose do to the small size of the berries. They are known as Cloukons. --nickthenick - Samara Band Hunting techniques: 4 (limited sucess) The Samara band, in their swampy scrub-like environment, found that hunting animals would be much more sustainable the scavenging for sparse plants. Likewise, Samara have advanced in their techniques for hunting. They have become so intricate that they are able to corner atleast 1 animals ever few weeks. This is sustains the Samara however there is still struggle to feed members every day and such a day where everyone is fed is still fairly rare. How so? Currently you are on mostly barren mountain slope where you only particularly know of one animal, the Grujan, who are a extremely vicious pack predator.

Well..your people don't know exactly what a grain like resource is. Would a second exploration of the area be fine? I can give a "god's will" result of it being grain if you get a 6.

Round 4
skyguy98 - Huzana Band Improve weaponry: 4 (limited success) The Huzana band, in desperation of the chilling winters, have decided to hunt the only animal in the slopes they were familiar with, the Grujan. Knowing this was no easy task to take down such a vicious creature, they have begun pluck twigs from scattered shrubs. These primitive weapons were poorly scraped on a rock to make a point. Although being small, they are used purely in close contact attack by a ring of villagers. Despite this great feat in productivity, due in part by the scarcity of Grujan who simply came from their home region to follow the Huzana and the weakness of the weapons used , only a few hunters were able to bring back meat and most of the members wouldn't be able to eat regularly. someguywhoisamember - Haven BandExplore environment deeper for resources: 3 (limited success) The Haven band, still in search for sustainable food, have passed a few fairly distant lakes. When attempting to fish in the lakes, they've found that it is quite muddy and fairly difficult to catch the fast moving creatures within, at least not in the close contact blunt smacking maneuver they are used to in gathering. A majority of the creatures took an oval shape, a pinkish white pigment, and two horns near their eyes. They are known as odelaka. Although the lakes contained many Odelaka, the food caught only sparsely fed everyone. On top of this, the creatures caught were very muddy and required some time to be washed before being split and eaten.

nickthenick - Samara BandContinue south: 5 (successful) The Samara Band, unsatisfied by the area they stopped, continued south down the coast. As the moved south, the land beneath them began to get more and more lush with vegetation until they were able to, in few stops, reach a wide isthmus filled with lush forest. They are too short and inexperienced for the trees and have begun eating small creatures and leafs for nourishment. Could I fish along the coast of the isthmus? If so, that's what I'd like to do.

Round 5
skyguy98 - Huzana Band Retreat south: 4 Discouraged by the desolation and cold weather of the mountains, The Huzana Band have attempted to return south to the hills they entered the mountains through. After some traveling, the Huzana have been able to return to an area only a few kilometers from their original area. They have found that since they have been gone, the dead period has ended and the hills are populated more heavily by not only a more heavily coated Grujan, but also creatures known as Zubrak. They are characterized by their nocturnality, down facing horns, diet of plants, and most obviously, their incredible fleeing speed. This has caused the Huzana to be unable to hunt them with their close-contact weapons. They have instead began to rely on leafy plants for now. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies:

someguywhoisamember - Haven BandImprove fishing technique: 5 The Haven band, due to their inhabitance of the muddy lakes, have begun to strive for a more effective way to catch Odelaka. Many try multiple methods from using heavier rocks to bash any movement to trying to rip them apart in the water.Oddly, the later seemed to work as the stem that the final solution branched off from. Hands are very powerful in grasping a fish but the fish can easily escape. Likewise, the solution was a larger hand. The Haven begin to tie flasky plants(such as the Cloukon) into concave net like boards to scoop up the fish and let the water seep away from under it. This has given the entire tribe much nutrition and most if not all members are satisfied. nickthenick - Samara Band Fish along isthmus: 3 From the rainforest, The Samara search for a source of water. Luckily the Samara are on an isthmus and find the ocean quickly. Once they get to the ocean, however, they find themselves facing a stony bluff. As they are now very hungry from their light diet, they decide to slide down regardless of any danger below. They all survive and begin to lurk around the shallow submerged beach. After a length of time, they begin to here a paddle-swimming noise meters from where they were searching. The band begins to grunt yell until one bandman decided to swim out and attempt to catch it. He swims back with a shelled, tentacled, creature that the bandman struggles to hold. The rest of the band bring it to shore and try eating it. It tastes good to them and feeds them all but gives little nutrition. It is the Fumlik.

I've recently developed two features to enhance the game:Gods' will: This has been mentioned once before in the game but is still in need of specifications. Gods' will is simply a wager by a player for obtaining a specific result(for example, when searching your evironment, wagering to find a dry grain). In order to get this gods' will result you will have to get at least a 6 roll. Culture Bonus: As votes are intended to represent a great action over an amount of years, It is quite easy to be a strict historian on what your people have done, however it takes some "culture" to be specific on who and how your people are and specifics on how your people go about an action(for example, instead of simply voting for "improve fishing technique", describing an odd blunt tool to smack in the water in search of fish). Although this will never be required, more descriptive votes, with a higher result(3-4), will be rewarded with a more beneficial vote, and a lower result(1-2), will be reward with less hits to stability. The descriptiveness will not affect the penalties of nature but may help with dealing with those penalties(ex. a tornado may destroy your entire encampment but descriptiveness may help with keeping your bandmen orderly afterwards). For the sake of realism, 5s and 6s will be affected very little if at all by descriptiveness.

With my people now feeding themselves with advanced hunting techniques and fishing for Fumliks, I'd like to have my tribespeople begin searching the environment for a plant they could cultivate (preferably a grain). Ideally, this would be done with parties of both scouts and gatherers, so that even if the scouts are unable to find a suitable plant, gatherers will be able to collects plants for food along the way, and return to the tribe with at least some success.
