With access to this new abundant reserve of Kunsil, the Samara peoples will settle down in this region for the time being and begin to harvest and cultivate the plant to eventually domesticate it, and breed it over the generations to grow bigger and yield more grains. They will also continue to hunt and gather and fish and combine their diet between the food obtained from all of these sources. If possible, some tribespeople will clear out areas to grow patches or fields of kunsil. When you say "settle down in this region", do you wish to become tribal or is this simply a stop for the time being? Just for the time being.

Round 8skyguy98 - Huzana BandSearch for food with spearmen: 4 The Huzana Band, frustraited over their weaponry not meeting the power of the animal it's based on, have slowly adapted its use by holding it close for defense. The same lack of hunting ability has led the band into searching for something more stationary to quench their constant hunger. In their search they found a berry identicle to the Cloukons found by the Haven band. They respond, however, slightly different than the Haven. They have ignored the burning sensation in their nose and wateriness of the eyes and instead praise its sweetness. only two spearmen were malled in this ordeal. The Huzana have been able to feed most but not all bandsmember. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies: Migrate north Explore area for resources Continue north Improve weaponry Retreat south Weaponry_Throwing spears Maintain Tribe: Skip
someguywhoisamember - Haven BandDevelop shelters: 3 Recently in the Haven band's history, they have found a home in a region of many lakes. Likewise, the Haven bandsmen have begun setting permanent residences of earth and strong wicker. although a fair amount of bandsmen have subscribed to permanent residence, many have been more skeptical and thus settlements exist typically no farther than immediate families clustering in an area. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies: Migrate north Develop Gathering technique Explore enviroment for resources Explore enviroment deeper for resources Improve fishing technique Food Preservation Improve fishing technique further
nickthenick - Samara BandHarvest and cultivate Kunsil: 4 The Samara band begin to mass harvest and cultivate the Kunsil plant. They did this by scattering seeds in the shallow lakes left by the rainy climate. They have developed over time to fill in lakes that get to deep for cultivation. The band's taste for Kunsil has also led them to harvest only Kunsil of proper quality and often uproot improper quality Kunsil. The Samara, although having built temporary residences, still must migrate back to the sea to fish for meat thus disallowing constant area of settlement. Near none are starving but many are plagued by hyperthermia, leach-like creatures, as well as many other hardships caused by long exposure to the muddy lands. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies: Don't migrate Migrate south Hunting techniques Continue south Fish along isthmus Search the forest(gw_grain) Move south toward Kunsil abundance
I've got some interesting(to me at least)plans for round 9. One or more bands may be in for a surprise decision.

The Samara Band will send out exploration parties to look for new surrounding climates to which they can migrate. These parties will initially be comprised of hunters and gatherers and scouts, so that on top of exploring they will also be gathering food to bring back to the tribe. Once they have found suitable locations, the parties will also take farmers with them, who will plant kunsil seeds in the new areas and study how well the plants grow there. They will ultimately search for a land with both an abundant supply of game, plants, and fish, and a good environment for the growth of Kunsil.

Hmm, good fruits, can we begin attempts to raise and harvest these fruits Being your location currently, I believe it would be quite difficult to a) to sustain the amount of water required to raise enough fruit and b) stay in one place for long enough to properly cultivate or sustain such fruit. As you are in a fairly dry steppe-like area, you are not in a rough area for agriculture to aspire farther than wild patches. perhaps you can search for some sort of source of water (a river, a lake, ect.)

Just randomize it, because I don't think I have any actual hints as to where it is most likely.

Round 9
skyguy98 - Huzana Band
EVENT: Cultural Crossing Move (South) (gw_river): 5 The Huzana Band has begun to grow weary of the exhausting fight for hunting land between them and the much better skilled Grujans necessary in an desert-like climate. They instead favor the stationary Cujon fruit. However, due to the severe lack of sustainable bodies of water, the band have found any form of cultivation and harvest of Cujon impossible. They grunt angerly at one another to move to a more fertile area. Within these days of unrest, an exhausted group of slightly off from the look of an average Huzana. Their eyes have somewhat of a permenant stare and their overall size towers over many of the boldest hunters of the Huzana. With a very warped tongue, the stranger introduce their situation. the Huzana grunt and catch the indentation of "Haven" in their story. The word "Haven" sounds different on the Huzanas tongues sounding more like Ha-on. Many years ago the Ha'on had fleed the Haven band during a winter famine and searched far distances for warmer climates until finally discovering the strange-acting Huzana. As would be expected in such a bewildering situation, oddity causes confusion and confusion leads to anger. The Huzana begin to squawk and flail their arms at the Ha'on scaring them a distance away. Moving southward, the Huzana have successfully reached a shallow rapid river between two bluffs and begin to feast on their saved up Cujon. All are fed but they have found themselves in an enviroment alien to their past arid lifestyle. Some members have a subliminal feeling that they are not alone. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies:
Migrate north Explore area for resources Continue north Improve weaponry Retreat south Weaponry_Throwing spears Maintain Tribe: Skip Search for food with spearmen
someguywhoisamember - Haven BandMaintain Tribe: Skip The Haven Band have maintained the same struggles and benefits of yesteryears without much change. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies: Migrate north Develop Gathering technique Explore enviroment for resources Explore enviroment deeper for resources Improve fishing technique Food Preservation Improve fishing technique further Develop shelters
nickthenick - Samara Band Search (East) for fertile lands: 2 The Samara, unsatisfied by their current marsh-like location, have begun to send a group of gatherer and hunter-scouts eastward in search of more liveable lands.
The group are confident in their plan, however, elderly bandsmen warn of the neurotic ocean to the east and the benevolent forgiveness from the ocean(this being to stop steal his beloved Fumliks if the scouts could something dry on land). Despite these pleeds, the scouts; young and unwise, begin east. The scouts search and gather mostly sweet-tasting leaves of little substance and the meat of mouse-sized creatures until they finally reach a range of mountains they cannot pass. They return home shamefully with only an assortment of leaves berries and meat from small creatures. However, as the scouts returned home, they noticed that the land had dried slightly since their departure. An old man directs his arms toward the returning scouts and asserts "ka...ka....ka!"(pronouced like the first part of the english word "can"), equivalent to "naughty". Referencing their dangerous insult to the eastern ocean. The old man along with a few other elderly members claim this action the reason the scouts came back unsuccessful. Not including a small few of the scouts sent out, none of the Samara have starved yet. The drier land has only minorly detered the effect of long exposure to murky water. Stability: Shaky (0) Power: Tiny (1) Past Policies:
Don't migrate Migrate south Hunting techniques Continue south Fish along isthmus Search the forest(gw_grain) Move south toward Kunsil abundance Harvest and cultivate Kunsil
