Out of curiosity, how will historical time be separated for the project? In S4 we have a week/generation system. Will there be similar divisions of time here, albeit on a smaller scale?

hmm.. that's a good question. I suppose the best way is to place the change in time period by how much players are willing to submit. The time will be measured in years after blessing(year AB) either way. I think you've been the only one particularly interested in this project so far so I have little idea of the member-load by the time this is ready to run. If there is little member-load I may go by a system of a threshold for how much can be submitted in a single year. If the member-load becomes larger and more active I may be able to have a year be an actual length of real world time(fingers crossed for the later).

If the member-load becomes larger and more active I may be able to have a year be an actual length of real world time(fingers crossed for the later). Bear in mind that projects like these fluctuate in activity. Sometimes there will be lots of people creating content, while other times it's a ghost town; S4 just got out of one of those doldrum-like states. The S4 week/generation system was originally based on real time: players had a week to submit content, and every day was a generation. As more people joined up, and as fewer people were able to create something every day, the lengths of time changed; most generations now take a month (or even longer) to complete nowadays. I strongly suggest you devise a system for dividing up submission times for this project. It doesn't have to be 1-for-1 with S4, but some way that we can indicate what time period we are working in. It will help us out greatly by motivating people to work towards completing something, and it will help you out by being able to record at what fictional time an invention/war/exploration took place.
